Ruben James Arredondo passed away August 8th 2022 in Fresno, California. He was born in Riverside, California, but spent most of his life in Fresno where he worked as a foreman in the construction industry. He had a love for motorcycles and spent time riding his bike any time he could. His passion for fitness was evident through his many power lifting accolades—he competed throughout California and even made his way to Canada for the World Championships. He held several records in his class, including his best squat at 551.1 pounds. In his early days, he also completed several races, including one marathon. He also had a love for art that was evident through not only his own work, but was also passed along to his very talented son and grandchildren. Ruben was loved by all that knew him—friends, family, clients, and coworkers. He enjoyed every second that he got with those he cared for, but his favorite thing was time spent with family. He looked forward to visits with his children and grandchildren—looking forward to yearly camping trips on the beach. He loved the ocean and all of his children and grandchildren had the same feeling of peace when they were at the beach with him.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Natividad Arredondo; mother, Lily Hildebrand; and sister, Cecilla Gill. Survivors include his son and spouse, Chris and Stephanie Arredondo; his daughter and spouse, Berrinda and Andrew Couszins; life partner, Diane Nole and her daughter Jennifer Sanchez; siblings, Carly and Wayne; his step-father, Jim Hildebrand; grandchildren, Chelsi, Presley, and Ayden; lots of nieces, nephews, and extended family throughout California, Arizona and the Philippine Islands.
