Louise Jenkins

July 19, 1928 — June 25, 2020

Louise Jenkins

Louise Jenkins was born on July 19, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the second born of seventeen siblings. She lived in Pixley, California, where she was married to Arthur C. Jenkins. Together they made a family with seven children, five boys and two girls. She was a mama bear, a protector. Her love was strong and everyone around her felt it. She was a daughter, sister, auntie, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved God and lived her life as an example for everyone she came in contact with. She worked for many years at a convalescent home, taking care of others with grace. She showed her family the value of hard work and worked hard at supporting the ones she loved. One of her delights was to cook for her family and made many meals with love, especially on Sundays after church.
On June 25, 2020, she was greeted by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her husband Arthur C. Jenkins, son, Arthur Jenkins Jr. and daughter, Carolyn O’neil Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Johnny Ray Jenkins, Johnny Joe Jenkins, both of Visalia, California; Willie Jenkins of Pixley, California; Gary Jenkins of Bakersfield, California; one daughter, Lula Hutchinson of Tulare, California and a host of brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
