Lorenzo Martinez Carabay

Lorenzo “Lencho” Martinez Carabay went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29, 2022, at Kaweah Delta Hospital after his brief battle with Cancer.
Lorenzo was born on September 29, 1949, in El Cuervo, Chihuahua to Dionisio and Guadalupe Carabay. He grew up in Zaragoza, Mexico and moved to Tulare, California in December of 1966 where he began working in Agriculture and received his Class A license in 2004.
When he was not working, Lorenzo enjoyed spending time swimming with his grandchildren, playing his bass guitar or accordion, and loved listening to music. He loved spending his Sunday mornings going to Visalia Swap Meet and would make it a point to stop by to visit with each of his children, family, and friends. He loved his truck and would make sure to always keep them detailed and spot free. He enjoyed traveling to Texas to visit with his family whenever he could. Lorenzo was a generous and kind man, always thinking of and giving to his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lorenzo is predeceased by his brother Santos Carabay and sister Eva Carabay.
Lorenzo is survived by his former spouse Juanita Carabay (Tulare), daughter Laura (JJ) Flores of Tulare, Lorenzo (Erica) Carabay, Jr of Tulare, Daniel (Amy) Carabay of Pismo Beach and Jakob Carabay of Visalia along with his five grandchildren Lance Carabay, Ezekiel and Joaquin Flores and Kameron and Makenzie Carabay, sisters Pilar (Arturo) Contreras of San Antonio, Martha Gutierrez of Tulare, Maria “Uco” (Jimmy) Pena of Tulare, Juana Carabay of Tulare and many nieces and nephews.
