Gloria Rivera Torres was born to Paul and Mary Rivera on August 19, 1954. She was the youngest girl of 9 siblings. As a child, she was known to be quiet and reserved. Gloria stayed home and helped her mom in the Kitchen, instead of going out to work with her older siblings. This is where she learned to cook her delicious meals.
High School is where Gloria met her husband Miguel Torres. Not long after high school, they were married and had four daughters: Michelle, Denise, Katherine, and Gloria. When they grew up and had their own babies, she was always helping to take care of her grandchildren.
In her more recent years, Gloria picked up the hobby of embroidery, playing candy crush and her casino games on her phone, and reading her Bible. Gloria passed away November 20, 2023 at her home. She lived a life filled with laughter and love. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her.
She is Preceded in death by her husband Miguel Torres; by her sister Esther Moreno and Mary Granados; by her brother Paul Rivera and John Rivera; by her oldest daughter Michelle Millan; by her second Born daughter Angelic Denise Torres-Verastegui, and by two grandchildren.
She is survived by her sisters, Sarah Tarango of Solano County, and Linda Lopez of Fresno County; by her brothers Joe Rivera of Tulare County, and Mark Rivera of Tulare County; by her daughters Katherine Villarreal of Fresno County, and Gloria Bukhari of Iowa; by 15 granshildren and by 5 great-grandchildren.
