Carlos Vidal Ybarra Was born on November 4, 1938 in Bakersfield and passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024 with his daughter Cindy at his side during his final days, holding his hand until His last breath.
In 1968 Carlos married the girl next door, Loretta and together they shared numerous funny and loving memories.
They started a family and had one daughter. Carlos persuaded Cindy to become a sport enthusiast as he was, especially for the Los Angeles Dodgers. They watched many games together, whether at home, Pizza Pit or live at Dodger Stadium.
He was employed with PPG Industries for 32 years. He retired in 2001 and begin to “Reap the Harvest” as He would say, which meant, enjoying the good life with retirement benefits.
Carlos enjoyed going to sports events. He would reminisce about the time He took his nephews to Candlestick Park to watch a baseball game. Those were fond memories of an awesome adventure and a great time in His life. Recently, He was able to visit his nephew to watch the Los Angeles Rams football game. Although, He was the oldest one there, He was the Life of the Party.
Carlos invited himself on a trip to San Diego with His sister Candy. He was excited and proud to be able to attend His nephew’s military graduation ceremony. He created many happy memories with the people he loved.
He will be deeply missed by His only daughter, His 6 Sisters and His loving family and many friends.
Carlos will always be remembered as a generous and caring man, a hard worker that always supported His family, especially His Mother during her last days.
Carlos loved to dance and have a good time. He enjoyed going to the casino. He would meet people and instantly become their friend.
Carlos was a social butterfly and everyone knew His name.
He is preceded in death by His wife, Loretta Maciel Ybarra, His parents, Agustin and Justa Ybarra, His sisters, Connie Perez and Rafaela Perez.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Christina Ybarra, His sisters, Lupe Ybarra, Toni Rosel, Candy Ybarra, Jessie Macias, Margaret Carlson and Mary Louise Rubalcava and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carlos is no longer suffering or in pain, but rather reunited with his wife and parents. We will miss him dearly, and hold on to the promise that we will see him again one day. May He rest in peace.
