Donna Louise Hasel

Donna (Dunklin) Hasel was born in Los Angeles, CA, in 1941 to parents Elwood and Margaret Dunklin,
although she spent most of her childhood with her grandmother and Aunt Virginia. Donna was raised in
the Torrance area where she met her soul mate, Herb Hasel, in 1958 at the area ice skating rink. They
married after she graduated high school in 1960. Their first child, Harold Richard was born in 1961, then
their daughter, Sandra Louise arrived in 1963. Donna spet the beginning of her marriage in Torrance and
Santa Anna raising Rick and Sandi.
When the kids became teenagers, Donna and Herb decided to move "to the mountains!' They moved to
Badger, CA and purchased and operated the Pinehurst Market. They met a lot of wonderful people over
the years. Herb's parents, Harold and Millie also moved up three years later. His youngest sister, Joy and
her husband, Jayson came along also. Sandi married and had 2 sons, Brian and Darrell while living in
Pinehurst. And son, Rick married and had a daughter, Amanda, while living in Badger. Eventually their kids
moved away, and Herb and Donna moved to Dinuba.
Throughout her life Donna's love and support for Herb made her happy. Whether it was camping, boating,
taking care of family members, she was always willing. He was her "WILD SIDE"; when he got a wild hair
she was right there hanging on! Donna was nevera sister in law, she was always just part of the family.
Over the years, Donna worked in retail, and for several different cleaners, whatever it took to help the
family. Her favorite place to work was the mini mart in Dinuba; she still smiled when she talked about it.
When Herb decided to retire and move back to Badger to be closer to his mother, Donna agreed.
Although happy in Dinuba, she once again set up house in Badger
In the end, Herb decided to beat Donna to heaven, where she joined him exactly one month later. No
doubt her whole family met her there, including her son, Rick.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Sandi, grandsons Brian and Darrell, and granddaughter Amanda,
brother-in-law Harley (and Lois) Hasel, and sister-in-law Joy (and Jayson) Baxter. She still has nieces,
nephews, and great nieces and nephews here on earth sending her love and prayers until they all meet
again.
We all love you, Donna. Be good up there!
